The Murphy Arts District announced two new shows slated for 2018, bringing a live stage show and a winner of “American Idol” to El Dorado.

According to a news release, a stage performance of Shopkins Live! is set for Jan. 26 at the Griffin Music Hall, while “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips will perform March 31 at the Griffin Music Hall.

Shopkins Live! is a stage performance based on the No. 1 toy in North America and will feature the Shoppies, including Jessicake, Bubbleisha, PeppaMint and more. The characters perform dance moves, sing pop songs and show off trendy fashions, while immersing “audiences in the world of Shopville using custom-designed theatrical costumes, creative characters, state of the art video and set design, and original pop songs,” according to the release.

Phillips, a singer, songwriter and musician who won the 11th season of “American Idol,” released the best-selling song in the history of the television show with the single “Home,” released in 2012. The Georgia native has released two chart-topping albums and gone on tour with the Goo Goo Dolls. Phillips’ new album “Collateral” is expected to be released Jan. 19.

According to the release, MAD will offer a Shopkins Live! VIP package, which will include seats in the first 100 seats, a meet and greet photo opportunity, one exclusive Shopkins Live! merchandise item and VIP lanyard, and access to an exclusive Shopkins Live!-themed after-show party room, which includes fun activities for fans.

Tickets for Shopkins Live! will go on sale to MAD members Sunday and Monday, and to the general public on Tuesday.

For Phillips, MAD will offer two VIP packages that include meet and greet access, signed posters, commemorative items and two-song private performance.

Tickets for Phillips will go on sale to his fan club on Tuesday and Wednesday, to MAD members starting Thursday and to the general public on Dec. 8.
