Head 2 Toe Wellness event set for Thursday at Champagnolle Landing

Head 2 Toe Wellness 2017, presented by the South Arkansas Center on Aging Education, will present a health event free for seniors 50 and over, from 8 until 11 a.m. on Thursday at Champagnolle Landing Senior Center, according to Lori DeWese, education coordinator.

The event will include healthy cooking, door prizes, health screenings, flu shots, exercise, pneumonia vaccinations, health and pampering services. Those attending are asked to bring their Medicare Red, White and Blue card. For more information, call DeWese at 870-881-8969.

American Legion Auxiliary plans flea market

Local members of the American Legion Auxiliary will hold a Fall Flea Market from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday at the American Legion Post 10 Home, 105 Christian Drive, El Dorado. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase care packages for members of the U.S. military.

Anyone wishing to donate items can drop their donations at the Post Home from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday. Food will be available for breakfast and lunch.

Meet Me at the Court to deliver

Meet Me at the Court will meet at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church Life Center, 620 Cordell St. Youth will be delivering “Love Baskets” filled with fresh vegetables, to senior citizens in the community, for the Youth Mission Project of the month.
