WILMA R. MEWHINNEY
Mrs. Wilma Ruse Mewhinney, 91 of El Dorado, AR, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas, in El Dorado.
She was born August 16, 1926 to the union of Roy Russell and Davette Huddleston Russell.
Mrs. Mewhinney was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, the love of her life and father of her children, Gail L. Ruse, a son, Lawrence G. Ruse, two sisters, Cretta Ostrum and Jane Bishop, and her second husband, Glen Mewhinney.
Survivors include her two daughters, Susan Newbury of Rockport, TX, and Carolyn Slaughter and husband Clyde of El Dorado, AR, two brothers, Daniel Russell of Glastone, MO, and William Russell of Grants Pass, OR. six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She has no family here besides her daughter and son-in-law so there will be no services as she chose to be cremated.
