Special guest for the event will be Bishop George Calloway Jr. of St. James Baptist Church. The theme will be from 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Living Word Ministry: A pastoral anniversary for Loretta Willis will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 26 at the Events Building, located on U.S. 82, Strong. Guest speaker will be Bishop Jeffery Toney.
Murmill Heights Baptist Church: A gospel music evening featuring the quartet “Paul’s Journey,” will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church, locate at 815 W. Eighth St. No admission will be charged but an offering will be received.
Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church: Homecoming services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, located at 1807 S. West Ave. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Wendell Colen at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Magnolia. Homecoming revival services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday at the church.
Mount Sinai Freewill Baptist Church: An appreciation service honoring Bishop Jewel Primm will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, located at 9716 Magnolia Highway, El Dorado. New Direction Ministries Church: The 10th anniversary celebration will be held at 7 p,m, today at the church and at noon on Sunday at the church, located at 209 E. Fourth St., Junction City. Guest speaker will be Bishop Rodney Botley of Solid Rock Ministry of Oberlin, Louisiana.
