Tickets for the grand opening performances of the Murphy Arts District in downtown El Dorado will go on sale next week.
The district’s grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 27-Oct.1. Ticket prices are as follows:
$25 for reserved seats or $35 for the standing-only pit area at the Griffin Music Hall on Sept. 28 for Train with Natasha Bedingfield;
$35 for general admission or $45 for the standing-only pit area at the outdoor amphitheater Sept. 29 for ZZ Top with X Ambassadors and Robert Randolph & the Family Band.;
$25 for general admission or $35 for the standing-only pit area at the Griffin Music Hall on Sept. 29 for Ludacris;
$35 for general admission or $45 for the standing-only pit area at the outdoor amphitheater Sept. 30 for Brad Paisley with Hunter Hayes, Chase Bryant and Ashley McBryde;
$25 for general admission or $35 for the standing-only pit area at the Griffin Music Hall on Sept. 30 for Migos; and
free admission at the outdoor amphitheater Oct. 1 for Smokey Robinson with the South Arkansas Symphony.
According to a news release from district officials, those who are district members will get access to tickets for two days before tickets are available to the general public. District officials have allocated a certain amount of tickets for members and the release noted that any unsold tickets will be added to those for the general public.
Members will be able to purchase tickets starting at 9 a.m. Monday. Tickets will be available online at eldoMAD.com, by phone at 877-940-3334 and at the box office at 113 S. Washington St. The box office will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For the general public, ticket sales begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 9, though the first day of sales will be for in-person purchases only at the box office on Washington Street. Starting at 9 a.m. Aug. 10, tickets will be available to the general public online, by phone and at the box office.
“Our grand opening ticket pricing is designed to make it as affordable as possible for everyone,” said Terry Stewart, CEO of El Dorado Festivals & Events, the non-profit behind MAD, in the release. “We want everyone to have a chance to hear great music and celebrate the opening of these great venues.”
The district offers varying membership levels on its website with different benefits, including discounts and meet-and-greet passes.
A small amount of tickets also will first be made available to the fan clubs of the featured artists before the district members are able to make their purchases.
For the first week, the shows available to members and the general public will be held at the outside amphitheater, which can accommodate 8,000 people, and the Griffin Music Hall, which can accommodate 2,000 people and sits behind the new Griffin Restaurant, a farm-to-table restaurant that will include a cabaret stage and allow for 250 guests.
