Lady Wildcats cruise past Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS - El Dorado stole 15 bases in just four innings Monday in a 19-1 victory over Hot Springs in softball action. The Lady Wildats improved to 11-8 overall and 6-2 in league play.

Grace Hargett was the winning pitcher, striking out seven batters while walking one. She allowed a run on two hits in four innings.

Kelsey Howard was 4-for-4 with six stolen bases, four runs scored and two RBI. Larran Simmons was 3-for-4 with five RBI, two triples and three runs scored. Allyson Silmon was 2-for-2 with a walk, three stolen bases and one RBI. Ava Dunn was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three stolen bases.

Marissa Rice was 1-for-2 with a walk and a sacrifice fly. Rice drove in three runs and scored a run. Tristen Lewis had a hit, a walk and stole a base. Payton Scarlett had a sacrifice fly RBI. Sydni Crisalli had a sacrifice fly with two RBI along with a walk and a stolen base. Grace Murry was 1-for-1 with a walk, two RBI and two runs scored. Sydney Sprawls had a hit and drove in a run. Hargett was 1-for-1 with a walk, stolen base and a RBI.

CAMDEN - The Lady Trojans recorded eight consecutive hits in a six-run second inning and blasted the Lady Cardinals. Parkers Chapel improved to 19-5 overall.

The Lady Trojans hammered out 16 hits in the game.

Kaylin Waller was 4-for-3 with a RBI. Courtney Phelps was 3-for-5 with a RBI. Savannah Slaughter was 2-for-4 with a RBI and Allison Rogers was 2-for-4. Bailey Norwood had a hit and drove in three runs.

The Lady Cardinals scored four runs in the fourth. Alexis Askew led off with a home run followed by four errors in a row by the Lady Trojans.

Phelps surrendered just one earned run in seven innings to earn the victory. The senior struck out 11, walked one and hit one while allowing four hits.

Parkers Chapel hosts Junction City today at 4:30 p.m.
