El Dorado beat Parkers Chapel twice Saturday night to claim the Lady Cat Classic Softball Tournament at the El Dorado/Union County Recreation Complex.

At the end of the two-day, double elimination tournament, the Lady Wildcats and Lady Trojans were both undefeated and met in the finals. Rebecca Voss hurled a three-hit gem to pitch El Dorado to a 1-0 victory in the first game.

Henley Perry scored the lone run. Marissa Rice had two hits, including a double. Kelsey Howard and Allison Silmon both had hits for the Lady Wildcats.

In the circle, Voss struck out nine with no walks in six innings.

The teams hooked it up again late in the evening with the Lady Wildcats prevailing 3-1 to claim the championship. Voss was the winning pitcher again, yielding one run on five hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in seven innings.

Perry tripled, drove in a run and scored. Howard singled in a run. Rice and Voss both had two hits. Sally Walthall doubles. Payton Scarlett singled and scored and A'Mya Evans scored a run for the Lady Cats, who improved to 7-0 on the season.

El Dorado opened play on Friday with a 9-0 win over Hamburg. Perry had two hits and scored twice. Scarlett had two hits and scored twice. Walthall had a single with two runs. Silmon had a single and scored a run as did Tristen Lewis.

Voss was the winning pitcher, fanning seven in three innings. Scarlett pitched one inning, giving up two hits with two strikeouts.

Also on Friday, the Lady Wildcats downed Junction City 11-1. Perry, Silmon and Lewis all doubled scored twice. Rice hit a double. Walthall scored twice. Gabrien Parker, Alyssa Stanfill and Scarlett all scored runs.

Voss pitched two innings, striking out five. Grace Hargett gave up a hit with three strikeouts in two innings.

El Dorado began Saturday with a 3-2 win over Harmony Grove.

Howard drove in the game-winning run with a single in the seventh, when the Lady Wildcats erased a 2-0 deficit.

Perry and Stanfill both doubled and scored in the game. Scarlett drove in a run with a double. Rice and Walthall also had hits.

In the circle, Voss surrendered two runs on four hits with no walks. She struck out 11 batters in five innings.
