CYNTHIA D. HALE

Cynthia Diane Hale, 62, of El Dorado, passed away on June 4, 2016 at her home.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1954 in Milledgeville, Ga. She was the daughter of George Wilbur Ford and Susie Mae Robinson Ford.

She was a graduate of Baldwin High School in Milledgeville and attended Crandale Junior College in Macon, Ga., where she received her associate’s degree in alcohol and substance abuse counseling. She was a former employee of Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, where she worked as a sterilization processing technician. After moving to El Dorado in 2004, she became a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church in Smackover, where she served as vice president and chaplain of the Women’s Missionary Society. She served as a Sunday School teacher, teacher in the Five Church Fellowship VBS and as a teacher in the Ouachita District Association/Section I.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors are a goddaughter, Rashanda Carroll of Lewisville; five brothers, Wilbur Ford of El Dorado, Wayne Ford and Ronnie Ford of Covington, Ga., Wallace Ford of Huntsville, Ala., and Cedric Ford of North Augusta, S.C.; and one god-grandson.

Funeral will held at 2:30 p.m. today, at Snowhill Baptist Church in Smackover with the Rev. Anthony Traylor and the Rev. Curtis Tatum officiating. Burial will follow in Snowhill Cemetery in Smackover, under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.
