INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For three Louisiana Tech Bulldogs looking to play on the professional level, the job interviews will continue soon in Indianapolis.

A native of Strong, Kenneth Dixon is among the Bulldog contingent headed to the combine.

Following Louisiana Tech's New Orleans Bowl victory, Dixon briefly held the NCAA touchdown record. This season the 5-10, 215 pound senior amassed 1,079 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns. He had 467 yards receiving and seven TD receptions as a senior. Recently, he competed in the Senior Bowl. A game conducted by NFL coaches which showcase players who are eligible for the draft.

In addition to Dixon, Vernon Butler, and Jeff Driskel all have received and accepted invitations to the National Football League’s premier pre-draft event. The three will have their talents and abilities tested at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Feb. 23-29.

All three had remarkable performances at the Senior Bowl at the end of January.

Louisiana Tech’s three invites to the NFL Combine were the most of any Conference USA team and represent almost half of the league’s invitees. The Bulldogs are also one of only three programs in Louisiana to send any players to the NFL Combine along with LSU and Southeastern Louisiana. Louisiana Tech is the only football program in North Louisiana to have any of its players receive an NFL Combine invite.
