JESSIE J. WATTS

Jessie Jerry Watts, 67, of El Dorado, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at his home.

He was born Oct. 10, 1948 to the late James Thomas and Pauline Hobbie Watts in Lake Village.

He was a member of South Side Baptist Church. Jerry loved to hunt, fish, be at his house boat, and most of all, he loved his grand kids.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his biological father, Bo Bustie; wife, Janice Denton Watts; and one son, Jerry Lynn Watts.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Pennington Watts; one daughter, Rhonda Lewis (Michael), three step-children, Libby Miller, Joey Smalley and Cindy Harris (Billy); four grandchildren, Jessie Lewis (Jade) of whom he helped raise, Josh Akins, Carol Marie Jones (Chuck), and Michael Ray Lewis; and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Stephen Watts; and one sister, Leslie Cartwright.

Visitation was held from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today also at Perry’s Funeral Chapels with interment following at Wyatt-Parnell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen Cates, Mike Graven, Tanner Couch, Cliff Gathright, Paul Cameron, and Todd Cottrell. Honorary will be Chuch Knight.
