Services for Ronald Wayne “Ron” Jackson, 70, of Wichita, Kan., are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, at First Baptist Church of Alba with Bro. Kelly Burton officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba. Interment will take place in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Jackson passed away April 24, 2016, in Alba. He was born Feb. 22, 1946 in El Dorado, to Curtis Wilson and Edna Lorene Nash Jackson. He spent his early years in El Dorado; 50 years in Wichita and the last 12 years in Alba. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Alba; lifetime member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation; NRA; and was a Master Gardner. He owned and operated Carco Unlimited Commercial Vehicle Dealership for 30 years. He was an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman. He was well known in Kansas for his tropical landscapes.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Dwayne Jackson (twin brother), and Jerry Edward Jackson; and sister-in-law, Patsy Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Jackson of Wichita; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason Talbot and Tracy Jackson of Trophy Club, Justin “Curtis” and Althea Jackson of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Kayla and Joshua McGee of Forney; brother, Dean Jackson of Wichita; sister-in-law, Janie Jackson of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and a multitude of close friends.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Jackson, Mike Custer, Tommy Woodward, Randy Hazen, Byron Jackson and Logan Woodward. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jarrett Jackson, Cody Jackson, Darrell Claphan and Lyndol Sizemore.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Alba, Building Fund for Family Life Center.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
