DES ARC - Strong's two-game winning streak came to end on Friday night at the hands of Des Arc, as the Eagles topped the Bulldogs 36-6.
The Bulldogs (2-4) hung around in the first half, trailing 16-0 at intermission, but the Eagles (5-1) pulled away in the second half to pick up a non-conference win.
With the win, Des Arc improves to 3-0 in the series against Strong with the other wins coming during the postseasons of 2009 and 2013.
Javonte Newton accounted for Strong's only points of the game with a 74-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs will stay on the road next week and take on Woodlawn in a pivotal 8-2A clash.
