Ellis Wilkins Jr., 67, died on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
He was born to J.C. Wilkins and Ruby Bivens Washington on May 3, 1948, in Camden,
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Smackover and a graduate of the 1967 class of Lafayette High School in Camden. He was employed with Weatherly Trucking Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael Wilkins, and Johnny Ray Wilkins; one sister, Joann Porchia; and one grandson, Dycorius Porchia.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Ross Wilkins of Smackover; five daughters, Tresa Wilkins, Ramona Wilkins, Salena Wilkins, Roshanda Gafford, and Yolanda Gafford; one son, Ellis Wilkins Jr.; four sisters, Ruby Nell Wilkins of Flint Mich., Glenda Franklin. and Diana Brown, both of Camden, and Donna Rogers of Arkadelphia; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at First Baptist Church of Smackover with the Rev. Calvin Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery in Camden under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.
There will be no public viewing at the funeral home. All viewing will be at the church following the service.
