ARLINE B. BRYANT

Arline Blackmon Bryant, 89, of El Dorado, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

She was born Sept. 12, 1925, to William Henry and Blanche Whitley Blackmon in El Dorado. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, where she worked as a nursery worker for 37 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her foster parents, Fulton and Nancy Whitley; her husband, Otho Vernon Bryant; two sisters, Louise Blackmon and Nellie Gassman; a grandson, Mark Bryant; and a son-in-law, Kim Spencer.

Survivors include her son, Eddie Ray Bryant (Dee); her daughter, Diana Spencer, both of El Dorado; two sisters, Marzell Tolar of Centerville, Miss., and Maxine Watkins of Jonesboro, La.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Young’s Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, at Parkview Baptist Church with Bro. Ken Overton and Bro. Allen Ellen officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Attaway, James Langston, Jeff Easley, Mark Looney, Ronald Hansen and Jerry Barksdale.
