Heather C. Herring

Heather Cranford Herring, 38, of Stephens, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, in Calhoun County.

She was born Sept. 21, 1976, in Magnolia. She attained an associate’s degree from Southern Arkansas University Tech and was a material planner and production supervisor at Day and Zimmerman. She was a member of the Bearden Riding Club where she competed in team sorting, and loved anything about horses, hunting, fishing and camping.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Faye (Thornton) Rowland; her sister, Lisa Cranford Williams; grandparents, Raymond and Viola Cranford; a grandfather, Herschel Thornton; and two aunts, Ardi Lyn Griffis and Diana Thornton Chamberlain.

Heather is survived by her husband, Joey Herring; four children, Haley Ann Wilson, Aspin Herring, Heaven Herring, and Dylan Herring; her father, Rudy Cranford; her sister Lori Stinnett, all of Stephens; one grandmother, Clydie Thornton of Hampton; three nieces, Courtney Moon and Carmen Williams of El Dorado, and Kara Miller of Fordyce; a great-niece, Keziah Miller of Fordyce; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral will be held at at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the First Baptist Church in McNeil with Kyle Callaway and Tommy Nash officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Pennington, Mike Sellers, William Hickman, David Herring and Cameron Skinner.
