SouthArk to open new archives to the public

The South Arkansas Community College Library will be opening their new Archives and Special Collections to the public with a reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The archives and collections will be available as research tools with emphasis on El Dorado history.

Entertainment will be provided by Joseph Shackelford, local classically trained violinist.

Westerman invites local constituents to coffee

Congressman Bruce Westerman invites everyone to have ‘Coffee with the Congressman,’ an event at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce, 111 Main St.

This will be an opportunity for anyone who attends to talk directly with Westerman about issues facing the Fourth District and is open to the public.
