Grand opening set for local office of congressman

A grand opening for the local office of Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman will be held from 10:30 a.m. until noon on April 9 inside the Union County Courthouse in downtown El Dorado. A ribbon cutting will be held on the steps on the east side of the courthouse and refreshments will be served in the lobby, according to a news release from Westerman.

“We hope this grand opening will give us an opportunity to meet and discuss the issues that are important to the Fourth District, as well as highlight the work that our district staff has been doing for constituents,” Westerman said in a news release.

RSVP dance to host White Mustang

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program dance, for ages 55 and older, will be held from 7 until 10 p.m. on Friday at Champagnolle Landing Senior Center, 910 E. Fourth St., El Dorado. The dance will feature the music of “White Mustang.”

Admission is $6 per person and no smoking or alcohol will be allowed.
