Hope E. Matochik, 89, of El Dorado, passed away, Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

She was born June 9, 1924, to Emory and Anna Dempsey Ferguson in Ogdensburg, N.Y. She moved to El Dorado in 1968 where she was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and she was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, George J. Matochik; a sister, Tina Reid; and a daughter, Kelly Matochik McKinney.

Survivors include her sons, Peter Matochik (Teresa) of El Dorado, and Paul Matochik of Hot Springs Village; four grandchildren, Brian Matochik (Pam) of Memphis, Tenn., Paige Matochik Fitzgerald (Kevin) of Killeen, Texas, Blake McKinney of El Dorado, and Adam Tilman of Memphis; four great-grandchildren, Craig Fitzgerald, Katelyn Fitzgerald, Emi Joy Matochik and Jack Matochik; and a special niece, Hope Ann Patterson.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Young’s.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
