The Rev. Edward Eugene “Bud” Lindsey, 88, of Camden died Friday, June 28, 2013 at his home in Camden.

Bro. Lindsey was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Bearden, the son of Lester and Laura Douglas Williamson Lindsey. He was a retired ordained Assembly of God minister and heavy equipment operator for the highway department.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Earline Coppett Lindsey of Camden; son, Eddie Lindsey and his wife, Joanie, of Hot Springs; daughter, Edith Dunn and her husband, Dale, of Spiro, Okla.; grandchildren, Brandi Harper and her husband, Brandon, of Spiro, Denver Dunn of Spiro, Judy Doherty and her husband, Kenneth, of Louann, Earl Lindsey Jr. and his wife, Cassie, of Wagoner, Okla., and Jaquita Lindsey of† Benton; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Jessie Ray Lindsey of Fort Smith; and sisters, Laura Jane Pennington of Waldo, Martha Ann Pennington of Fordyce, Sue Bussell and Doris Beaver, both of Camden, and Gladys Broach of Little Rock.

Funeral for Bro. Lindsey will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 1, at Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Marvin Launius officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
