Mary Cooper, 73, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Specialty Select Hospital of Carrollton, Texas, following a brief illness.
Cooper was born June 23, 1939, in Emerson. She is the daughter of the late Jake and the late Allie Mae (Copeland) Jamerson.
She was a devoted mother, survived by three sons, Marion Cooper, Ronald Cooper and James Cooper of Magnolia; five daughters, Lucretia Love, Kathy Webster, Baronda Owens and Angie Davis of Magnolia, and Shelia Lenzy of St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Georgia Daniels and Earnestine Cooper of Magnolia, Lennie Pearl Walker of
Houston, and Gladys Hughes of Kansas City, Mo.; five brothers, John Jamerson, Early Jamerson, Leonard Jamerson and Lawrence Jamerson of Magnolia, and Irie Jamerson of Little Rock. Cooper also has 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at Columbia Baptist District Center/Youngblood Auditorium, 611 S. Madison, Magnolia, with Supt. Larry Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Noxube Cemetery, Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service of Magnolia.
Calling hours will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15 at Henderson’s Mortuary, Inc., 614 Calhoun Road, Magnolia.
