Nancy Green, 72, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

 Born in Spearsville, La., she had lived in the Jonesboro area most of her life.  Nancy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked to cook, being outdoors, arts and crafts, traveling with her husband, and country music, especially Conway Twitty.  She was a member of Magnolia Road Baptist Church.

Nancy is survived by her children, Ricky Carpenter of Jonesboro, Bruce Carpenter of Spearsville, Bobby Green of El Dorado, Mary Dulaney of Jonesboro, Berniece Porter of El Dorado, Rebecca Carpenter, Donna Jones, Janet Davis and Joan Dorris, all of Jonesboro, and Debbie McCullar of Heber Springs; a sister, Vergie Stringer of Spearsville; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Green; parents, Albert and Clara Dison Green; sister, Barbara Black; and brothers, Verna Green and Alton Green.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Wilson Cemetery in Greenfield with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Davis, Les Dorris, Mike Porter, Michael Porter, Zach Dorris, Doug Ohman, Bobby Green, Tim Colburn, Nick Gann and Daniel Carpenter.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
