Joe Lee Clark, 73, of El Dorado, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in Maumelle.

He was born Sept. 17, 1939, in Crossett, the son of Vera Anderson Martin and Joe Frazier Clark. He retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles in Sacramento, Calif., after 30 years. He received his minister’s license in 1967 at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father; his first wife, Lillie Mae Clark; and a son, Willie Joe Clark.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Rogers Clark of Sacramento; his mother, Vera Anderson Martin of Maumelle; two sons, Atlas L. Clark and Steven D. Clark, of El Dorado; three daughters, Schonda Clark Lockhart of El Dorado, Gwynoth Mae Miller of Fountain Hill, and Brenda Lee Watson of Bastrop, La.; three sisters, Patricia Courtney of Arizona, Clarece Stephenson and Autherlene Adams, both of Los Angeles; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be held from  to 5 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Andrews Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Zion Watch Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. The family will be at 5089 Moro Bay Highway after the service to meet with friends.
