Corine Miller Harris Johnson, 80, of El Dorado, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the John R. WIlliamson Hospice House.

Born Oct. 10, 1932, in El Dorado, she was the daughter of Leon Miller Sr. and Lizzie Landers Samuel. She was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board and the kitchen committee. She worked for 36 years at La Grange Memorial Hospital in La Grange, Ill., until retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, W.C. Harris and Wilfred Lee Johnson; sisters, Mae Ruth Mason and Peggy Miller; brothers, Raymond Carter, Johnnie Samuels Jr. and Frank Hall; and great- grandson, Joshus Harris.

Survivors include three children, Willie C. Harris of Joliet, Ill., Charlie Lewis Harris of El Dorado, and Claudia Stevenson of El Dorado; three brothers, Jessie Samuels, Leon Miller Jr. and Willie B. Miller, all of El Dorado; a sister, Erma Bripp of Texarkana, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Little Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Miller Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Stamps Cemetery under the direction of Paradise Funeral Home in Bernice, La.
