Clinton Marsh Wright, 84, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Hillsboro Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Oct. 23, 1927 in Hampton to James Clifton and Violet Mildred Blann Wright.

Clinton is preceded in death by both his parents; four brothers, Herchel Wright, Wellon Dean Wright, Elbert Wright and Bennie Wright; and two sisters, Genelle McDonald and Maudell Key.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Carlene Cunningham Wright of El Dorado; two daughters, Karen Solem and Kathy Landry; one brother, Randall Wright; and two grandchildren, Billy Richard Emfinger III and Starla Solem.

Clinton was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and is a WWII Veteran. He was in the US Army Military Police and worked security at the War Crimes Tribunal in Tokyo. Clinton was also a previous supervisor of Sid Richardson Carbon Plant in Odessa, Texas. He was a musician who enjoyed playing a steel guitar.

Visitation will be held from noon until service time today at Young’s Chapel.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Chapel with the Rev. David Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Pickett Cemetery in Hampton under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be Galen Jerry, Leslie Jerry, Byron Jerry, Mickey Davis, Lamar Bryant and Randall Wright.
