Emma Jean Green, 68, of Oakland, Calif., and formerly of Strong, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, in Oakland.

She was born Jan. 30, 1944, the daughter of Ezell and Mae Ella Green.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Ossie Green, Calvin Green   and Lavon Green.

Survivors include a sister, Clotha McHenry; two brothers, Otis Green and Ezell Green Jr.; a son, Steve Staples; a daughter, Ragina Watson; and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Strong with Elder Larry Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Strong under the direction of Marks Funeral Home of Magnolia.
