El Dorado will get its chance to personally talk to an Olympian as it was announced Tuesday during the South Arkansas Community College Board of Trustees meeting that Shannon Miller, winner of seven Olympic and nine World Championship medals will be the speaker at the college’s lecture series on April 17.
Miller is the most decorated gymnast in the United States history. However, she will not be speaking on her accolades but on women’s health as she was diagnosed in February 2011 with ovarian cancer.
