Proving that even cold cases can heat up in a moment, Boone County officials arrested a Harrison man on Friday for a rape alleged to have occurred in Wisconsin nearly 40 years ago.
Jimmy Dale Mulanex, 57, is being held without bond until he can be extradited to Wisconsin for the alleged 1975 rape, according to Fox 16.
Wisconsin officials say Mulanex, who was a cross country driver at the time, was originally arrested in December 1975 for the alleged crime, but didn’t show up for a preliminary hearing.
A police report shows Mulanex allegedly threatened and raped a woman at a motel where she’d been celebrating her birthday.
