Another packed night could be in store for the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce as it prepares to launch the second and final political forum of the local election season.
The first featured a variety of El Dorado city council faces and hopefuls, as well as Rep. Matthew Shepherd versus opponent Sam Paul Cyphers and Union County Circuit Clerk Cheryl Cochran-Wilson against challenger Jane Gray Andrews.
At 5:30 p.m. tonight in the Charles H. Murphy boardroom, forums include:
• 5:30 p.m., Bobby Pierce and Henry Frisby, State Senate District 27.
• 6:15 p.m., Steve Ward and Mike Dumas, Union County Justice of the Peace District 1.
• 6:45 p.m., Justin Hendrix and John Wilson, Union County Justice of the Peace District 2.
• 7:15 p.m., Carolyn Jones and James Thomas, Union County Justice of the Peace District 5.
• 7:45 p.m., William Crowder, Union County Justice of the Peace District 8.
• 8:15 p.m., Don Traylor and Tim Foster, Union County Justice of the Peace District 10.
Crowder is facing off against incumbent Dewayne Worth, who attended the Oct. 2 session due to a time conflict with tonight’s forum.
