Four Strong residents have voted thus far into the early voting period for a special election concerning a 1 percent sales tax within the city limits, according to Union County Clerk Shannon Phillips.
No absentee ballots have been requested, she added.
Early voting will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, when the Union County Courthouse will close in preparation for MusicFest, and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The election will wrap up on Oct. 9 when the poll in Strong opens from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
