Union County topped the southwest region of the state in lottery sales for the month of August, according to data released by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
Of the $688,913 in lottery ticket sales during the month, the lion’s share was dedicated to instant settlements — a trend echoed statewide where nearly $35 million in sales were made last month overall.
Following in Union County’s wake were:
• Ouachita County — $478,119.50
• Columbia County — $267,743.50
• Ashley County — $149,870
• Bradley County — $133,744
• Calhoun County – $58,728.50
