Main Street El Dorado is ramping up for the inaugural First Thursday, a retail promotion set to kick off at 5 p.m. tonight on Union Square.
The event is meant to benefit 9-to-5ers who can’t make it downtown quickly enough after work before the shops close and give the stores a chance to make some extra bucks, Mark Givens, MSE executive director, told the News-Times.
According to MSE’s Facebook, the Poets of Pines will perform during the event, Murphy USA has donated giveaway items, there will be inflatables for the kids and sidewalk vendors will be tented all throughout.
