Nearly 2,000 Union County residents are currently without power due to an electrical line accidentally cut during work by county employees, said Entergy Representative Bill Luther.
The numbers continue to fluctuate on the Entergy Storm Center website, however, as of 3:10 p.m. Wednesday there are 1,712 outages in Union County which far outstrips any other county in the state for the number of outages.
In El Dorado, the outages are concentrated along Martin Luther King Boulevard and Champagnolle, Pleasant Grove and Hibanks roads.
Other outages include a number in Smackover where Luther said downed trees following big gusts have taken out several lines.
