Bomb threat called into Walmart

A bomb threat has allegedly been called into Walmart. The El Dorado Police Department is on the scene and shoppers have been shuffled from the store to the former Ryan’s parking lot.

Approximately 150 shoppers and employees are gathered in the Ryan’s parking lot as of 6:15 p.m. Saturday.

All anyone has been told is that the situation is a code blue and a bomb threat was called into the police at around 6 p.m.

More as the situation becomes clearer.

UPDATE (6:50 p.m.): Walmart employees have been allowed to return to the parking lot but not the building. Remaining customers have been asked to retrieve their vehicles and leave.

Entrances remain blocked by officers responding from the EPD and the Arkansas State Police.
