The West Nile Virus is on the rise, according to the Arkansas Department of Health which advises that 80 percent of the 390 cases have occurred in Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
Officials reported nine cases in Arkansas thus far in 2012, up from one last year, according to Arkansas Online.
Overall, 26 states have confirmed cases and eight deaths have occurred this year.
