A professional poker player says she has more than 80,000 of the 62,507 required signatures to get an initiative to build four casinos in Arkansas on the ballot, according to the Associated Press.
Nancy Todd is proposing casinos in Crittenden, Franklin, Miller and Pulaski counties. Another proposal for casino in the state could also go to the ballot in November should it reach enough signatures.
The deadline is Friday. If verified, petitions for the casinos and medical marijuana could become ballot initiatives later this year.
