Entergy is working hard to restore power to the 363 residences and businesses still without power as of 2:15 p.m. following a line of storms that entered Union County early Tuesday morning, according to a release.
At 5:45 a.m., 3,246 customers were without power across Union County with outages concentrated west of Smackover, El Dorado and Junction City. The majority of the damage was the result of downed trees and lightening.
Election Day complications were minimal as all voting machines have backup power, stated the release. Three polling sites were without light power at 7:30 a.m. and Junction City Hall, Mount Union Church and Wyatt Baptist Church all had power restored by 9:15 a.m.
The company aims to have power restored completely by 10 p.m. with additional crews from Warren pitching in, according to the release.
