Statewide unemployment rates dropped another .2 percent last month, according to information compiled by the Department of Workforce Services.
The addition of 3,300 more employed and 2,800 fewer unemployed across Arkansas accounted for a decrease from 7.4 to 7.2 percent, according to Arkansas Online.
Unemployment throughout the state has continued to drop steadily for the past nine months.
This doesn’t mean there are less people unemployed. It simply means that people’s unemployment benefits have run out and that they aren’t using the Department of Workforce Services to look for a job.
