Little Rock evicts Occupiers

Little Rock’s Occupiers have been given until mid-May to disperse before the city begins taking legal action, according to Arkansas Blog.

The six-month long occupation was previously operating on an open-ended permit. However, the eviction notice for 7 a.m. on May 16 arrived at the encampment Monday evening, personally delivered by Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas.

After a three-hour meeting of the Occupy Little Rock General Assembly, organizers decided to continue talks with Little Rock officials concerning the current protest site, stated the movement’s blog.
