An El Dorado man was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on an officer after he allegedly bit one corrections officer and spit on another, according to a Union County Sheriff’s Office report.
Vernon L. Shutes, 33, of 1408 E. Barnes, was arrested Sunday while already in UCSO custody following his arrest for public intoxication and two counts of misdemeanor failure to appear.
While in custody of two officers at the Union County Correctional Justice Facility, Shutes reportedly bit one in the left arm and spit in another’s face.
