After admitting that he and his three codefendants split the $300 they reaped in a robbery of K & J Truck Stop on Dec. 26, 2011, Jerrick Eutsey was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
He told Judge Hamilton Singleton in Union County Circuit Court Tuesday morning that he received $80 of the money taken at gunpoint the day after Christmas.
As part of the plea agreement, the state did not prosecute Eutsey for being a felon in possession of a firearm or a firearm enhancement.
In addition to the prison sentence, he was given a five-year suspended imposition of sentencing.
Also in court Tuesday morning, Leopoldo Apodaca was sentenced to two years in prison and a four-year SIS for aggravated animal cruelty.
He admitted to Singleton that he killed his girlfriend’s dog during an argument on Oct. 23, 2011.
