Autopsy called for remains found in barrel

Law enforcement officials in Little Rock have called for an autopsy of a body discovered stuffed inside a barrel which they believe is likely that of a 16-year-old Van Buren girl who went missing on Feb. 10.

According to Arkansas Online, the human remains were discovered to be female and the clothes are consistent with what Angela Allen was wearing the last time she was seen nearly two weeks ago.

Lloyd Jones, 36, a registered sex offender of Lavaca, was arrested in relation to Allen’s disappearance.

The autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday. More charges in addition to aggravated assault could face Jones pending the results.
