EPD releases new information into Wednesday’s bust

The El Dorado Police Department released new information this morning into Wednesday’s “warehouse of drugs” bust.

Three men, all of El Dorado, were arrested for marijuana possession with intent to deliver. Christopher Miles, 41, Ronald Jackson, 49, and Joseph Thomas, 47, will make their first appearances today in Union County District Court.

According to the release, ten local, state and federal agencies were involved.

The EPD told the News-Times Wednesday that they would need to wait for federal clearance before making any of the information public. To protect that information, Union County Sheriff Mike McGough gave the go-ahead to lock News-Times crime reporters out of the remote connection to the EPD and UCSO reports Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

More in tomorrow’s News-Times.
