Merry Christmas! And in celebration of this special holiday let’s enumerate the multitude of non-yule-tide cheer the police and sheriff’s office had to deal with following Tuesday’s identity theft bust.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love (or Union County’s law enforcement) sent to me: Twelve criminals a-thieving. Eleven electronics stolen. Ten editorial staff members exhausting. Nine properties damaged. Eight burglars a-burglarizing. Seven defendants appearing. Six residences a-breaking. Five bullets flying. Four terroristic threats. Three aggravated assaults. Two felony arrests. And one arson in the 1100 block of Marrable Hill Road.

Check out tomorrow’s News-Times for all that and more.
