Delek maintains 8 as the final layoff number

Despite rumors swirling around town to the contrary, Delek US Holdings Inc., maintained today that the number of employees laid off from Lion Oil Company is still eight.

Noel Ryan, Delek spokesperson, said this morning that the information affirming the eight initial layoffs released via an email last week “will be the extent of our statement at this time.”

No word still on if or how many employees may have been demoted in relation to what Delek refers to as its “efforts to eliminate operational redundancies at El Dorado, following our recent acquisition of Lion Oil.”
