After announcing that he wouldn’t be seeking a seventh term with the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Mike Ross, of the fourth congressional district, halted raising further campaign funds and began to return them to individuals and private interest groups.
According to Arkansas News, Ross returned nearly $127,000 to those who’d donated to his potential 2012 campaign.
Ross will instead retain more than $340,000 from PAC contributions which a spokesman said had already been used to make payments to campaign expenses in the nine months he was running for reelection before announcing that he wouldn’t again seek the seat.
