A button-down shirt and slacks in lieu of his traditional suit, U.S. Rep. Mike Ross held his cards close to the vest while speaking at Rotary today, giving no indication that he’s yet made up his mind if he’ll run for governor in 2014.
His public rationales that he won’t run for reelection to the U.S. House in 2012 has changed little since the July announcement. He still says 12 years is long enough, the extremists of the two parties are leading a moderate nation and if he runs for governor he needs to focus on that rather than his seventh term in the House.
Other topics (always Ross favorites) included the debt ceiling debacle, the need for national energy security and creating jobs in a touch economy.
