Stressed banker absconds with coin collection, takes mini-vacation

More than a week after he was reported missing, the head of a Missouri bank was discovered at a popular Arkansas fishing spot where he had absconded with only his golf clubs, fishing poles, medicine, an antique coin collection and $300 from the banking account he shares with his wife.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, New Frontier Bank chief executive Joseph Crenshaw, 57, was located in Hardy. A police report stated that Crenshaw was stressed about his job and told police he would come home when he was ready.

The bank had come under some criticism in the recent past for losing $441,000 in the first six months of the year and is currently being examined by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as part of routine operations.
