Years ago youngsters had a wonderful place to go in the summer. It was called Y-Land. Now days it has been replace by Lots of Fun at the east campus of SouthArk Community College .

East campus?
I went to Y-Wonderland as a youth and have many very fond memories. The first year it was at Hugh Goodwin School and later at the “old YWCA” building (now the Boy Scouts of America Building on Peach Street). We started swimming at the Boys Club pool (now ball fields) and then later the old YWCA pool (behind the BSA building on Peach) opened up for a short time when the Boys Club Pool ceased operation. Sadly both are long gone…
