Well, we’re all still here, despite the doomsday predictions by 89-year-old radio-evangelist Harold Camping who for years predicted the Rapture on May 21.
This isn’t the first time Camping predicted the end of times, and when the 1994 date came and went without random seizures up into Heaven by the ghostly hand of God, Camping blamed it on a mathematical error. This time, he said, he was sure.
However, when Saturday at 6 p.m. passed by without so much as a whisper, let alone the vanishing of every believer on earth, Camping told the San Francisco Chronicle he was “flabbergasted” and has been seeking the answer as to why he wasn’t pulled into Heaven this weekend through prayer and discussion.
Maybe he’s just really bad at math.
Although it’s also entirely possible that he already got all the funding his radio program needs to last him until 2012.
