Times just got a little tougher for the farming community in Arkansas due to recent flooding.
More than one million acres of farmland in Arkansas are under water, according to Arkansas News.
Farm Bureau President Randy Veach said, via a news release, it would be several months before the full extent of the damage could be determined.
However, as of right now, the price tag for damages stands at a staggering $500 million which doesn’t even include “costs to repair farm land, farm equipment and infrastructure or grain lost in storage bins.”
The organization said losses in cotton, rice and wheat should also be expected.
